What it does differently

Built like a translator app, not a spreadsheet.

01

Swap, don't retype

One button flips both the currencies and which side you're typing into — the interaction converter apps borrowed from language translators, and the one thing this app's predecessor never had.

Exchangely after tapping swap, now converting from USD to MXN with a watchlist of other currencies below
02

The amount field is a calculator

Enter 120+45×2 straight into the amount and it evaluates live, converted in real time. No switching to Calculator and copying a number back.

Exchangely with 120+45x2 typed into the amount field, converting the evaluated result to USD
03

Rates you can trust the source of

Frankfurter mirrors European Central Bank reference rates — the same figures banks cite — updated on weekdays. The app shows the date it's using, plainly, never a vague "just now."

04

Offline by default

The last successful rate is cached on your phone. Lose signal mid-trip and conversion keeps working, labeled with when it was last current.

Questions

Before you download.

Where do the rates come from?

Frankfurter, which mirrors European Central Bank reference rates — the same source banks and financial institutions cite. Rates update on weekdays; Exchangely shows the date of the rate it's using rather than implying a live feed it doesn't have.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. The last successful rate table stays cached on your phone, so conversion keeps working offline — you'll see when it was last updated instead of a silently stale number.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-in, and no analytics or ad tracking at any price, free or Pro.

Is Pro a subscription?

No — one purchase, once. There's nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
